Who is it for?

All co-ops want to facilitate a working environment which benefits everyone. We understand that it's not always easy to work with other people and that personalities sometimes clash. This course will help your staff to contribute to a happy and productive working environment.

What will participants learn?

This unit aims to provide learners with appropriate tools and strategies to work with others effectively in order to assist them in their roles. It will focus on the principles of successful team working and will include aspects of preparation and time management, the importance of co-operative behaviours, respectful and assertive communication skills and decision making processes.

By the end of the workshop your team will be able to:

  • State the importance of effective communication
  • Explain the characteristics of successful teams
  • Describe the roles individuals have a preference towards when part of a group or team
  • List ways in which they can eliminate elements that can make meetings ineffective

  • Studying case studies to identify best practice
  • Reflecting on their own experiences of working with others and sharing their ideas
