What will I learn?

In this one-day workshop we will explore why shared values and principles are the life blood of co-operative organisations. We will consider why values and principles so important to this unique form of business.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to...

  • recognise the distinctive features of a co-operative and similar organisations
  • examine the range and complexity of the UK and international co-operative movement
  • identify the key features of your own organisation (or organisations you are associated with)
  • recognise how values and principles are currently put into practice in your own organisation (or organisations you are associated with)
  • write a personal action plan to ensure continued engagement with co-operative values and principles

How will I learn?

Throughout this interactive workshop you will learn through taking part in tutor led discussions, exploring best practice case studies and participating in group activity. There will time for personal reflection too and an opportunity to identify how you might use the learning after the event.

Meet the Tutor

Adrian Ashton has delivered training at the College for 10 years and brings a great deal of experience and success.
