Exploring the Federated Model Challenge We're delighted to partner with the University of the Highlands and Islands to co-host a free event that will explore the progress that's been made so far in establishing a future Co-operative University. Taking place on Monday 11 November at Inverness Campus, University of the Highlands and Islands, Inverness, IV2 5NA and running from 10am - 4pm, it will examine the opportunities and challenges of federated models for universities, and what it means to be a 'civic university'. If you can't make it to Scotland you can also join virtually too - simply click the more information button at the bottom of the page. Discussion and debate The interactive programme, designed to stimulate discussion and debate, will reflect on some of the key issues and challenges, as well as an opportunity for further exploration of hands-on co-productive activities - a core part of curriculum design in courses that will be delivered at a future Co-operative University. Open to all While some of our explorations in the above areas will relate to the education sector in Scotland, this event is open to any colleagues working in education who wish to learn more about the Co-operative University, federated models, and civic responsibilities and possibilities for universities.
