Who We Are Who's Who Learning and Development Team From training courses and workshops to our evolving higher education offer, here are the people who make it happen. Angela Colebrook - Learning & Development Manager Angela heads up our Learning & Development team and has worked at the college for 10 years. She started her first role as a training officer for a national co-op over 25 years ago and hasn't looked back since! Angela loves being part of a small, dedicated team where no two days are the same, and outside the office likes to spend time with her family, friends and border collie Boris. She also enjoys watching her son play lacrosse and likes to indulge in a bit of 'me time' with her watercolour paints. Polly Wilding - Academic Programmes Manager Polly's role focuses primarily on securing degree awarding powers for the College, working towards the creation of future Co-operative University. Previously, Polly spent 11 years at the University of Leeds, with a research focus on gender and violence, and a teaching focus on interdisciplinarity and active learning. Alex Adley - Academic Administrator / Student Experience Officer Alex joined the College in January 2020 as our Academic Administrator/Student Experience Officer. Her main focuses are the policies, procedures and student support that will underpin our Higher Education offer. Prior to joining the College, Alex worked in a variety of roles across the Higher Education, Public and Voluntary sectors. Most recently she worked in HE partnerships and is a big believer in collaboration and co-operation. Outside of work she's a huge fan of reading, creative writing, cooking and is a self-confessed shopaholic! Chris Meadows - Senior Educational Technologist Passionate about Open Educational Resources, Chris is a contributor to #1minuteCPD which shares one minute technical tips for educational development. A Rugby nut, he has been an avid player, referee and coach. Highlights of his rugby career were officiating at four IRB Sevens tournaments, touring Western Canada and officiating in several World Cup qualifiers. Chris has a strong interest in technology, particularly in relation to video production. He was previously a filmmaker and a Creative Trainer at Apple. He also has a keen interest in the outdoors, particularly when it comes to cycling, walking and climbing. He now states he's too rotund for the latter. Having started his working career as a chef, despite a love of cuisine he soon realised that the catering hours were not to his liking. He still likes pies though!
