Webinar - And Now the Future: 100 Years of Adult Education In two months time, 100 years after the launch of the 1919 Ministry of Reconstruction’s Final Report on Adult Education, a new report from a 2019 Commission will be published. Both Commissions shared the same concern, to “Consider the provision for, and possibilities of, Adult Education (other than technical or vocational) in Great Britain, and to make recommendations.” Two members of the Steering Group, who also serve as Commissioners: Sharon Clancy, Chair of the Raymond Williams Foundation and a Senior Researcher at the University of Nottingham and Cilla Ross from the Co-operative College, will use this webinar to discuss why they feel there was a need for such a Commission, how the landscape of adult education has changed in the last century and without giving anything away, why they think adult education is so important for the future!
