As a leader it is important to build a shared sense of purpose with your ‘team’. This one-day workshop considers organisational requirements and different leadership styles, focusing on those which best fit co-operative workplaces.

Who is it for?

This workshop is for you if you

• are a new or emerging manager or team leader working in a co-operative
• have formal or informal leadership responsibilities
• are a member wanting to understand more about leadership
• want to learn more about different leadership styles and which is best for you and your organisation

What will I learn?

By the end of the workshop you will be able to

• identify different leadership styles and how they can be adapted to different situations
• explore how leadership styles are influenced by organisational culture, regulation and emerging social concerns.
• reflect on your own leadership styles and methods and adopt appropriate working practice that will benefit of your organisation
• describe how to establish a culture that builds a shared sense of purpose with the team
• create a personal development plan with specific objectives that will enable you to incorporate the requirements of a leader in a values based organisation such as a co-operative

How will I learn?

You will be involved in tutor led discussion, self-reflection and group activities in this engaging workshop.  This will help you to understanding and apply leadership skills effectively in your organisation.

Written notice of cancellations up to 21 days before an event will incur a 25% administration fee. After this time period, a 100% cancellation charge will apply. Substitutions (i.e. name changes) for the event booked can be made free of charge.
