About Daniel

Daniel is the Manchester Project Co-ordinator for our UK projects team. From developing co-operatives and organising fundraising events with our Co-operative (Ad)Venture project, to helping facilitate youth social action through our Youth Co-operative Action work, Daniel is always busy networking and exploring new opportunities for our young people. He is also the staff representative on our board of trustees.

Prior to joining the College, Daniel was a mainstream English teacher in North Manchester state schools, working in some of the most deprived areas of the country to bridge gaps in attainment and empower disadvantaged young people to pursue their dreams.

He draws on over a decade’s worth of experience working with young people in care homes, pupil referral units and schools, to ensure our youth projects are relevant and successfully reach those often marginalised and overlooked by society.

With a love of literature and the spoken word, Daniel prides himself on his ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds and walks of life. With a versatile working history prior to youth work, consisting of everything from humble jobs in hospitality to weird and wonderful work as a pyrotechnician, he prides himself on his ability to act as a bridge between worlds.
