This November sees our Centenary Conference and Gala Dinner take place in Rochdale, the birthplace of the Co-operative Movement in the UK, and we're dedicating a whole day of the celebrations to young people and the next generation of co-operators.

A new audience

How can co-operatives appeal to a new audience? What social issues can co-operatives help address? What can we do to attract more young people to the movement? We'll be exploring answers to all these questions and more with speakers from across the globe.

There'll be panel sessions and keynote addresses, as well as fringe events focused on engaging the next generation.

Get involved

Throughout the rest of August, following on from International Youth Day on the 12th, we'll be shining the spotlight on some of the speakers who'll be taking part in our very own youth day this November, asking them to share their thoughts as part of a special blog series. You can view the first blog via the button below.

We'll also be highlighting some of the amazing work we do with young people, such as our Co-operative (ad)Venture and Youth Co-operative Action projects where we empower all those involved with the skills and knowledge to transform their communities and change their lives for the better.
