Can you help someone make life better for their families? Could you help people like Melita?

Meet Melita

Born in 1948, Melita was less than one year old during the devastating Nyasaland famine. She grew up in the farming community of Ntcheu, Central Malawi. Living in one of the poorest countries in the world, Melita, her husband and her three sons often worried about where their next meal would come from.

This changed after they joined the Mwansambe Coffee Co‑operative in 2011, where the Co‑operative College provided training, support and resources to make a real difference. Becoming a co-op member revolutionised their lives, helping them venture into coffee production, but they still don’t have enough.

Melita would like to buy a portable pulpary, a small machine that can help her process more coffee, even quicker. Co‑operative College support is helping Melita increase her income right now. This support goes a long way in helping her afford a pulpary and soon she’ll be able to buy one for herself. This will enable her to provide a better future for her family.

The Co-operative College supports thousands of Malawians just like Melita to make a better life for themselves and their families, but we can't do it alone. This Christmas, can you give something that will change a life?
