We're extremely excited to welcome Ana to our Centenary Conference where she'll be speaking as part of the dedicated youth day.

About Ana

Ana Aguirre is co-founder and worker owner of TAZEBAEZ cooperative (since 2009) which translated from  Basque language means "and why not".
It is with that spirit Ana landed in the cooperative world and through learning and experimentation, she knew it was the perfect path for her.
As someone who is from the Basque Country, Ana is passionate about worker owned co-operatives and is one of the co-founders of the Young European Cooperators Network which allowed me to understand a much larger picture. She has served in the board since its foundation and was chosen to represent Europe in the International Co-operative Alliance Youth Committee, further broadening her horizons.
Ana believes that worker owned cooperatives are one of the strongest tools for sustainable development, and that if only people saw the extent of that potential, there would be so many more. She says the good news is that we have the power to make that happen!
