Conflict is inevitable. There are many causes and different types of conflict. Knowing how to handle it is key. This one-day workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and manage workplace conflict.

  • face conflict or frequent disagreements in the workplace/ in your role

  • Describe on the nature of conflict and the different approaches to working with it
  • Explain the impacts of personal responses to conflict on people and organisations
  • Detail different ways of communicating about dilemmas and issues
  • demonstrate skills for working with conflict
  • develop a personal action plan

How will I learn?

This workshop consists of whole and sub-group discussion, practical activities and self-reflection to help you to apply what you’ve learned to a wider context.


 

Meet the tutor

Maria Franchi is a skilled trainer and facilitator with extensive experience of community and organisational development, gained during 25 years working in and with the voluntary, community, co-operative and social enterprise sector. She has worked for local and national charities and as a freelance consultant and associate trainer.

Maria uses participatory and practical methods, designed to get people working together, including accelerated learning, dialogue and open space techniques. Her experience is that people learn best when they enjoy themselves and benefit from input from other members of the group.
