On completion of this workshop you will be able to...

  • outline the key aspects of the UK co-operative economy, including its size, make-up, and impact.
  • explain the relationship between your co-operative and other organisations within the co-operative sector in the UK.
  • explain how your co-operative demonstrates Principle Six – Co-operation amongst Co-operatives.
  • how the co-operative sector is different from other sectors in the wider economy and society.
  • identify and explain the role of key organisations within the co-operative sector including Co-operatives UK, the Co-operative College, the Co-operative News and the Co-operative Federal Retail and Trading Services.

Meet the Tutor

Adrian Ashton has delivered training at the College for 10 years and brings a great deal of experience and success.

Adrian is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards related to his training, including the UK’s ‘best enterprise support and development consultant’ in global ACQ awards 2016 and awarded ‘best in sector’ for support to social enterprise by DealFeed International, 2014.
