We all use resources on a day to day basis. Whether they are the people we work with, physical equipment  or money, it’s important to identify effective and efficient ways to manage them. This one-day workshop will help you identify the different types of resources available to you, select and plan for their use, and monitor and review their effectiveness in the pursuit of organisational objectives.

Who is it for?

This workshop is for you if you…

  • are responsible for resources in a workplace, on a project or for a voluntary organisation
  • are a manager and leader who have formal responsibility for planning the use of resources
  • want to know more about the range of resources available and how to manage their use

What will I learn?

By the end of this workshop you will be able to…

  • identify and plan resources needed to meet objectives in a cost effective way
  • describe how you select and use resources to meet planned objectives
  • explain how to monitor and control resources in your organisation and understand when there is a need to change resource requirements
  • plan how you will manage resources effectively going forward

How will I learn?

In this workshop you will take part in small group and whole group discussion, activities and self-reflection. You will be encouraged to write a personal action plan to help you to implement your learning when carrying out your role.

You may wish to complete this workshop as part of a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) qualification. For this you will be required to complete a piece of assessed work after the workshop. Full support is provided and to find out more click here.
