Co-operatives for Climate Action: How Climate Education can Help Your Co‑operative We marked the International Day of Co-operatives with a special webinar inspired by the theme of co-operatives for climate action.Led by Ruth Hayward, an environmental educator, researcher and organiser, the webinar explored the reasons why co-operatives should engage in climate education and how taking climate action can have a positive impact on their local communities. We're committed to offering climate education to co-operatives, as demonstrated by the development of our Essential Climate Change workshop that was added to our programme earlier this year and can be run for organisations of any size. A challenge we all face The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges we all face today, and co-operatives can play a huge role in tackling climate change head on. As ethical businesses built on a shared set of values and principles, co-operatives are perfectly placed to lead the way and highlight the difference that can be made if we all alter our behaviour.
