Join us for two unique online events to mark the 25th anniversary of the ICA Statement of Co-operative Identity.

Presented in partnership with the ICA, the initial two part series, delivered under the banner of Cooperative Conversations, will feature live discussion with co-operators from across the globe.

We'll hear from many of those who worked behind the scenes to define the Statement on the Co-operative Identity, its co-operative and ethical values, and its seven co-operative principles.

Joining us will be advocates who tirelessly promote the co-operative identity as crucial to solving today’s global challenges and young co-operative leaders who are spreading the message to a new generation, energising a global movement.

We've also created the below document charting the events that led to the adoption of the statement and looking back at the history. It's perfect reading ahead of the webinars - take a look and become an expert!

Looking Back for a Stronger, Brighter Future

Monday 21 September 1pm-3pm (CEST)

The first conversation, titled Looking Back for a Stronger, Brighter Future, will explore how the seven co-operative principles came to be and the significance of the global context at the time. It will also explore the impact it had on the co-operative movement then, and crucially how it will shape the future.

The session will be opened by a video message from ICA President Ariel Guarco. He'll share what the cooperative identity means to him, and the crucial role that the co-operative movement is playing on the global stage. This will be followed by a conversation with diverse group of speakers made up of attendees from across the globe.
