Archive Awareness Campaign

From Kitchen Table to Conference Table

As part of the Archive Awareness Campaign, the National Co-operative Archive has collaborated with the Working Class Movement Library and the People’s History Museum to stage an online exhibition.

The exhibition follows the progress of women from the private sphere to the public sphere through their politicisation, using case studies showcasing the holdings of the three archives.

To learn about the Co-op Women’s Guild; Women, the Vote and Labour; how the 1984/5 Miners Strike affected women; and see how much you could buy with a woman clerk’s wages in 1922, visit the exhibition website.
