Leadership and Management Development

Progression through the management structure presents new challenges at every level and the CMI suite of qualifications offers organisations development opportunities for all their managers, from supervisors and team leaders to middle and senior management. The College has considerable experience of ‘bespoking’ and delivering CMI programmes to meet the specific needs of a range of clients, including large and small-medium sized co-operatives, mutuals and NHS Foundation Trusts. Learning takes place through attendance at workshops and assessment is assignment based. There are no external examinations. Individual ‘units’ from the awards can be delivered in-house by arrangement and are also scheduled throughout the year as part of the Co-operative Training Programme.

We offer a range of management qualifications that are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute [+info].

The programme includes a range of courses to meet the needs of managers at every stage of their career development. Whether you’re looking to initiate new leaders into their first management role or to consolidate the skills of senior managers we have a course to suit, and every course embodies our commitment to demonstrate how co-operative values and principles can be put into practice for the benefit of learners and their organisations.

These courses can be delivered as in-house partnership programmes where the workshops are delivered locally and are tailored to meet your specific needs. Alternatively, the College offers an annual schedule of open programmes that individual managers or aspiring managers can join and meet with colleagues from other co-operatives.
