So long, farewell…
Well it’s my final day in Lithuanian and I fly home today. So what have a thought of Lithuania and my time here? First of all Vilnius is a beautiful city, with stunning and architecture and almost every building has an interesting history. Secondly Lithuanians love their food and drink. I have not eaten so much for a long time and the food here is delicious.
Also the co-operative movement in Lithuanian is not unlike out own, we share some of the same difficulties. And finally everyone here has been so friendly and accommodating; they have made my stay here very special. So a huge ‘ačiū’ to all colleagues at the Vilnius Co-operative College and the Lithuanian Union of Co-operatives. I will remember you all with fondness and hope that we shall meet again soon.
