Model United Nations Day at co-operative Academy
The Anglo European School, a co-operative Academy in Ingatestone, Essex, recently held its annual Model United Nations Day.
All Year 10s at the school took part in the event, which was held on 4 July. Students became delegates and ambassadors for their allocated countries, having previously researched their county and its issues in their Citizenship lessons.
Katie Bunn from the school’s Citizenship Department said: “As a school, we do a number of extracurricular activities designed to encourage students to develop their awareness as global citizens. At various points in the academic year we also raise funds and awareness for Fairtrade, hold charity fundraising events and run Citizenship Days for our students.”
