Tavistock College consults to become co-operative Trust school
Tavistock College in Devon is consulting to become a co-operative Trust school, in a move that its Principal says is “genuinely about involving the community”.
The school plans to team up with the Tavistock Chamber of Commerce, UCP Marjon and the co-operative movement to form the Trust, aiming to build partnerships to help drive forward improvement.
Principal Helen Salmon said the co-operative values fit the local community “like a glove”.
The school says the Trust would give a “real sense of ownership by students, staff and the wider community of Tavistock”.
