Whole Education school-based events

The Co-operative College is a partner organisation of Whole Education, a collaboration between leading organisations in education that share a common set of beliefs about education and actively support schools, colleges and youth organisations in helping to provide young people with a ‘whole education’ across the country.

Whole Education logoA ‘whole education’: develops a range of skills, qualities and knowledge that young people will need for the future; makes learning more relevant and engaging for young people, with them at the centre of their own learning, providing a mix of theoretical and practical learning; recognises that learning takes place in various settings, not just the classroom, and that the best schools engage the wider community in learning.

In order to support the spread of ‘whole education’ practice and enable knowledge-sharing between practitioners, Whole Education is running a series of free, informal events that will provide an opportunity to:

  • Hear from host schools about their ongoing journeys to provide their young people with a ‘whole education’.
  • Hear from peers from schools in the region about the work they are doing with a range of Whole Education’s partner organisations (including UFA, Apps for Good, Channel 4, the Co-operative College, Sports Leaders UK, Musical Futures, Incerts, Vital Partnerships (Elli), Learning Futures, Learning to Lead, Iris Connect and HTI Go4It).
