Study day: Records of the Co-operative Movement for Local and Family Historians
Find out more about how you can use the National Co-operative Archive as a historical resource on a study day organised by the Archive and the Institute of Local and Family History at the University of Central Lancashire.
The event, which is taking place in the CIS building in Manchester on 12 July, will explore the potential for local historians to use co-operative movement and business records for providing an insight into family life and local communities. The day will introduce participants to relevant sources and how to best use the materials, with sessions on local retail co-operative societies, the co-operative dividend, co-operative activism and how to access the records.
The event costs £18 for ILFH members, £22 for concessions and students and £27 for non-members, including lunch.
